Description
Old Order Mennonite head midwife Rhoda Mummau embraces the secrets that remaining in Hopen Haus lets her keep, but with revolutionary medicine waiting on the outside, Rhoda's choices are getting far more difficult. Meanwhile, a graduate student who once gave her baby up for adoption seeks shelter at Hopen Haus when, while carrying another baby as a surrogate, the girl flees the parents who just decided to terminate the pregnancy.
