Rascal comes up with an idea to help Hoffen. He suggests Hoffen and Fierce have a competition within a circle. The first out of the circle looses. Hoffen defeats Fierce and wins his bag, inside which a note is found. The note tells Hoffen to go to his practice room at about 3 in the morning. But Hoffen has to deal with some uninvited guest-the weasels and bears before he can go to the practice room.

Hoffen and Velvet Touch surprise the bandits. Desmodus and his followers are overtaken without shooting an arrow before they find a way to flee. Velvet Touch takes the leader of the bandits to justice using the Flying Teapot.

Hoffen's potential as a Polaris God comes once again to save the day. Rascal comes to frustrated Hoffen to help rebuild his morale.

Hoffen faces his enemy and finally manages to drive Nian away. The spell on The Sentry is removed. Xiaoyao Valley restores its peace and Hoffen says goodbye to Artisan and Hortense.

Guardian recognizes the lizard is the one who has stolen the Grassland Pearl. Hoffen helps repel Guardian. The two weasels take the chance to steal the Grassland Pearl.

Hoffen comes across Hortense, a chicken in Xiaoyao Valley. The playful chick snatches his sling shot and Hoffen chases it all the way to her home to get his sling shot back. Hoffen runs into his persistent followers-Long-Mouth and Big-Eye.

Hoffen once again tries to get some Snow Lotus but is stopped by Dudley Nightshade, who uses some lethal smoke to stop Hoffen while he destroys most of the Snow Lotuses.

Enforcer comes to check on the weasel duo when their conversation is overheard by Hog Wild, who later knows he's been used by the weasels. Hoffen comes to a point of breakthrough when he practices Tai Chi.

Hoffen meets Kitchen God, who's also trapped inside the monster's body. Kitchen God tells Hoffen how kill Nian.

Hoffen starts to learn from Artisan the Rooster. Artisan, unlike any other kung fu masters, begins the tutelage with traditional Chinese writing and painting and sculpturing skills.
